Gap in Your App

How it works

Getting started takes about an hour of your time, most of it one app update.

Getting started

  1. Pick a plan and answer a few questions. We'll ask which searches you most want to show up for, and when people are happiest using your app.
  2. Invite us as a user in App Store Connect. It takes two minutes and you can remove us at any point.
  3. Add the rating prompt code we send you and ship an update. This is the one step only you can do.

How we grow your ratings

We only use Apple's own rating popup. Since each person sees it a few times a year at most, we help you pick the moment carefully. Right after someone gets what they came for works best. First launch, error screens and paywalls are bad spots.

We also add a "Write a review" link to your settings screen for people who go looking for it. Every review gets a drafted reply, and a quick fix for an unhappy user often turns into a better rating later.

No rewards for ratings and no fake reviews, ever. Apple removes apps for that.

When something stalls

If a number stops moving for two reports in a row, the next report starts with one specific thing for you to try, like moving the prompt or shipping a small update. It says how long the step should take. Doing it or skipping it is your call, and either way the following report shows what happened.

What to expect

Week 1
We rewrite your title, subtitle and keyword field around what your buyers type.
Weeks 2 to 6
Positions usually start moving here. Every two weeks we keep what worked and swap out what didn't.
Month 2 on
Once your app is asking for ratings at a good moment, the count starts climbing. We draft replies to new reviews as they come in.
Month 3
You look at three months of numbers and decide whether to keep going.
